Justin Trevino met his all-time hero Johnny Bush some twenty years ago, and they have worked together on the road and in the studio many times, but for various contractual reasons, the twosome didn't record their duets album Texas On A Saturday Night and see it released until 2007.
Justin Trevino wanted to re-create the sixties Johnny Bush sound, and brought in some of Texas' finest musicians including Bobby Flores, Dicky Overbey, Ralph Mooney, Johnny Cox, Jim Loessberg and Floyd Domino. The result is a graceful, lonesome and stirring travel through a number of classics and standards including Jim, Jack and Rose, That's What It's Like To Be Lonesome, Pour The Wine and If She Could See Me Now.
